The 29th Annual CIM has achieved its Entry Cap but we have reserved 300 Special Charity Entries at $250 each. Charity entries are available until the entry cap of 300 entries is achieved. The entire amount of these entries will be donated to the Sacramento Running Association (SRA) beneficiaries: youth fitness programs, running venue improvements, SRA local elite runner development. Learn more at RunSRA.org. $150 of your entry fee is tax deductible (SRA is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization).

New for 2011! Due to its excellent race organization and fast course, the California International Marathon has always been a favorite event for first time marathoners, fitness runners, and especially for runners seeking a PR, a Boston Marathon or Olympic Marathon Trials qualifying standard. As we have seen our entries fill each year before the entry deadline, event management has made some changes to ensure we can make CIM entries available for all levels of runners. In order to do this, the 2011 entry fees and deadlines have been adjusted as described below. Also, runners who wish to enter later in the year will be able to do so if they have achieved CIM entry standards described below.

Note that: the 2011 CIM entry fees have not been increased, include the processing fees, and are lower than most marathons.

Marathon Entry Fees

  • Marathon entry fee until June 1, 11:59 p.m. PST has been held at the very low price of $85 (with no add-on processing fees!)
  • From June 2 until November 1 or until the entry cap of 7500 runners is achieved, the entry fee is $105 (with no add-on processing fees!)
